Beth’s areas of expertise include use of online collaborative learning environments as well as eXtension's Learn and Ask an Expert applications. Beth is professional development leader of eXtension, and part of Penn State University’s Information & Communication Technologies unit in the College of Ag Sciences. She joined Penn State Extension in 1981 as an extension educator in western PA, before joining the (then) Extension Computer Services. Beth has collaborated with multi-state teams for training and the support arm of CYFERNet and Email: Beyond the Basics, as well as various groups within eXtension. She was active with early years of the national extension technology conferences, currently has leadership rolls in ACE (Association for Communication Excellence in Agriculture, Natural Resources and Human & Life Sciences) and ESP (Epsilon Sigma Phi, the extension professional fraternity), and is active with NAEPSDP (National Association of Extension Program and Staff Development Professionals).
